Giovana Paula Ramos Silveira Leite

ChainGE Lab Research Fellow


Giovana is a lawyer, consultant, and researcher with a Law degree and a Master's degree in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), specializing in access to justice, human rights, and conflict resolution. She works as a senior lawyer, team coordinator, and researcher at the UFMG Clinic on Slave Labor and Human Trafficking, in addition to being a researcher at the Higher School of the Federal Prosecution Service (ESMPU). She is part of the commission for combating contemporary slave labor of the Brazilian Bar Association. Moreover, she works in business consulting, offering training and diagnostics on labor compliance, due diligence, and ESG. She is dedicated to impact projects aimed at promoting human rights and improving working conditions in supply chains.5.  In the group, she aims to study the coffee value chain in Brazil and its commercialization in the European market.


Her focus at ChainGE Lab will be on analyzing how European due diligence regulations interact with these value chain, particularly regarding their impact on labor rights compliance and corporate responsibilities within the supply chain.
