ChainGE Lab Research Fellow

Lilli Hasche (she/her) studied Political Sciences, Transcultural Studies and Law in Bremen and Paris. She is junior researcher in the research project "Legal Struggles in Transnational Supply Chains", funded by the Foundation of the German Trade Union Federation Hans-Böckler-Stiftung. She is an associated fellow of the Research Training Group Contradiction Studies at U Bremen. In her PhD project she researches the ambivalent role of contracts in global production networks and how they are used as an emancipatory tool in legal struggles for better working conditions in countries of the global south.

As part of ChainGE Lab, she would like to develop a contract dispute law, i.e. rules for the negotiation of labor and supplier contracts in global supply chains, which adequately takes into account the contradictions of contracts and the unequal resources and power hierarchies between the parties involved.
