ChainGE Lab Research Fellow


Yael served for many years as the Director of the Education and Welfare branch at “Koach LaOvdim” (Power to Workers) democratic trade union, during which she led efforts to organize workers across government social procurement sectors. Yael developed expertise in analyzing social procurement tenders, gaining deep insight into their complexity and the ways they shape labor practices and workplace standards. 

 

Nowadays Yael serves as the Finance Manager at Koach Laovdim and works as an independent consultant specializing in community development and organizing.

 

Research at ChainGE Lab:

In the project, Yael researches the Freedom of Association within Social Procurement Chains in the Israeli labor market. she does so by examining the government social procurement policy and analyzing several Symbolic workers’ unions in the privatized welfare and education sectors.
